Cazenove died surrounded by his family to St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. He had contracted septicemia at the end of February. In “Dynasty”, the character of Ben Carrington was the brother of Blake Carrington, played by John Forsythe, a comedian who recently passed away.
Christopher Cazenove had to contend with some of the most devious characters American TV has even known when he joined the cast of Dynasty back in 1986. But as the quintessential English gentleman demonstrated in The Duchess Of Duke Street and Kane And Abel, his nerves are not easily rattled. The Hampshire-born celeb has also turned his hand to comedy, in productions like A Fine Romance and Three Men And A Little Lady. Since then he has immersed himself in the legal world through the TV series Judge John Deed.
Cazenove is born in Winchester, Hampshire, England. He had first made his name in the ’70s with the miniseries “The Duchess of Duke Street. In 1985, he then played in a small screen adaptation for the novel “Kane and Abel”. In 2001, he was also shot in the BBC drama “Judge John Deed”.
Cazenove was the husband of actress Angharad Rees for over 20 years. The couple had two son. The eldest, however, died in a car accident in 1999. He was 25 years.
