  7. that’s a great idea!! I will have to try this. i used egg cartons last time and it worked but the plant roots didn’t go to deep and it was tough to transplant once the garden was ready, but my veggies are still doing good.

  13. If you bury the pots, how are we supposed to be able to read it then???

  14. Wow, really great idea – and organic too!

  15. Great video-why didn’t I think of this?
Yes, I believe I read (gasp! in a newspaper!) that as of 2004-5, 95% of newspapers were in soy-based ink. Lead was banned quite some time ago. I would think, if it were made of lead, it would be hazardous for us to read, touch, breathe in…

  16. Thankyou i will try this i was very impressed with how quickly the seeds germinated…..

  17. Most newspapers use vegetable inks now. Newspapers are perfectly fine for organic gardening. They’re used in No Dig Gardens and with Vermicomposting too.

  18. this is not such a smart idea WHY? do you know from which material are letters made of? from lead! and lead is not good for any living creature. It is not smart to contaminate your plants if you are going to use them later as food font do this! If that is going to be inedible then ok but higher levels of lead can damage a plant :)

  19. Very simple, I like.

  20. this is so cool…a cheap project and fun to get kids to work..er..i mean participate in the joy of gardening

  21. I think I will try this. :)

  24. that works for the US but in france for example, the ink s not clean….

  25. Don’t worry about the ink, it is soy based in 99% of newspapers
