pThe colors of Taekwondo belts vary to show a students advancement of ability and rank. The belts and their colors arent just a random assortment – in Taekwondo, each color has a meaning that lets fighters know about their advancement and increasing knowledge. Here are the belt colors of Taekwondo and what each means :/p
pA white belt is the beginning and the symbol of birth.nbsp; Students that wear white belts are just starting out and searching for the knowledge to continue Taekwondo./p
pA yellow belt is the first beamnbsp; of light that shines on the student, giving them new strength in this Martial Art. Yellow belts show that a student has taken a great learning step and that their mind is now open to new techniques./p
pA green belt is the symbol of growth and represents a seed that sprouts from the ground and begins to grow into a plant.nbsp; Students with green belts are continuing along the path of Taekwondo, learning, refining their techniques and developing./p
pA blue belt is the blue sky. The plant continues to grow upwards, and in the same way that it gets taller, students with blue belts continue to move higher. At this level they will continue to gain extra knowledge of Taekwondo so that their mind and body can continue to grow and develop./p
pRed is the heat of the sunnbsp;nbsp;- with the plants path continuing towards the sun. By this stage the students with red belts have gained a lot of knowledge of Taekwondo.nbsp; Red belts also indicate that students shouldnbsp;be cautious, as they gain more knowledge and their physical techniques develop./p
pA black belt symbolizes the darkness that is out there beyond the light of the sun. Black belts mean best of the best, and when a student has gained a black belt and begins to train other students, he will teach all that has been taught to him. Black belts are a acknowledgment of this, and when the students then teach others the art of Taekwondo, they continue the never ending cycle of training in this art./p
